We are so grateful to God and to His people who have responded to the needs expressed in our last newsletter and to some phone calls.
The rent in India and Haiti has been met, Praise God! The re-outfitting of My Father's House Haiti, due to the influx of FIFTY-FIVE NEW CHILDREN has been mostly met. We are struggling for room. We do not have room for all the beds we need, so some kids are doubling up. There is no room to set up enough tables, so kids eat without sitting at a table. Praise God they are eating!
My Father's House has needs but the children, who came in very bad condition, are joyfull and so happy to be in a place where they have no reason to fear. They are clean, suitably dressed and receiving medical attention and love. They are not in the street, they have food today and tomorrow they will have food too! They can sleep without being afraid. They will not be sold or abused. They will go to school and they will have books! And most amazing to all the neighborhood, (and the news is spreading) they will eat every day!
God's reputation grows because of the care given to these children. The chorus of thanksgiving ascends to His glory because of what He is doing in Giardo Ravine slum, Haiti; Tandur, India; Monrovia, Liberia; Ukunda,Kenya; Kabera Slum, Nairobi, Kenya; Ganta, Liberia; Iquitos, Peru; Burubudam and Krisan Refugee Camps, Ghana. Just a few of the places of great need, that most of us have never been, but have been led of God to invest in for His Kingdom's sake. You will likely get no reward here in this lifetime. You may never see fruit here from your sowing of prayers and dollars. But the God who sees in secret knows your giving and hears the chorus of thanksgiving rise. He knows every little person huddling hungry in a fiflthy alley in Port au Prince or Hyderabad. He hears the prayers of every widow who calls upon Him day and night for help and consolation. He brought their plight before you and gave you the privilege, the way and the means to minister a little to such as these. He knows your heart and He will bless you. In the next life He reward you for your investment in these lives.
The Precious Life Home of Hope, in Monrovia, Liberia awaits only mattresses and sheets to open. We have matrons, beds, kitchen and girls, even a new baby! We are praying for the final items to open the house. My Father's House Haiti, bursting at the seams, needs a large amount of food every week, additional staff, shoes and school supplies. My Father's House India is also full with needs of school fees, shoes, and a sizable weekly food bill.
We believe God would have us purchase property and build facilities in India, Haiti and Kenya (for Paula and her children and clinic. She now lives in a mud daubed thatched roof hut.) This will require a large outlay of funds that we believe God will provide. Won't you pray with us for this and all these needs? We look forward to praising the Father of the orphan and the husband of the widow with you as He provides.
