Last Year's Report (2008)

Over the last year God has been so gracious to our little ministry. We have been allowed to speak the Scriptures across America; New York, Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Iowa, Idaho, Washington, Oregon and California. We met many new friends and renewed acquaintances with many old friends. The Lord enabled us to speak the Scriptures in seminaries, colleges, universities and high schools, in prisons, churches and homes. We proclaimed the Word in camps and conferences. We traveled and ministered in India, Haiti and Austria.

We have finished the move of our office to Nampa, Idaho and become incorporated in Idaho as a not-for-profit corporation called:

The Wordsower Company Inc.

  • All international ministries are conducted under Wordsower International and the Fund For The Least of These.
  • All performance related ministry is conducted under the name: Wordsower Evangel Arts.

The Lord has led us to establish these 'departments' to better communicate our various ministries and to help us conduct them more efficiently. We will be establishing another department to conduct the publishing and production activities of our ministry. Thank you for enduring with us as we seek to organize for more transparency and better stewardship.

In India the Lord had me speak and/or teach over sixty times in three weeks. We visited our children at My Father's House India and ministered to our Church Planters and their families for three days. I conducted a wedding service, for our Orphanage Director and his bride, before over five hundred of their closest friends and the children of My Father's House. I dedicated fifteen churches that our pastors have planted in the last year. At our Conference the Pastors committed themselves to plant a church in each of the three thousand villages currently without a Gospel witness in Andhra Pradesh State. Praise God such faith and vision! I was given wonderful and amazing opportunities to preach the Gospel, to Hindus who had never heard before, in villages where our pastors are persecuted daily. The people were visibly and vocally astonished at the claims and words of Jesus. For one such as myself these opportunities where a great blessing.

After visiting Haiti, where I saw the needs of the children of Haiti (I visited twenty schools and toured needy neighborhoods for two weeks) and taught fifty Pastors for eight days, I returned to the States wounded for the children and purposed in my heart to do something concrete in Christ for them. The Lord has his man there for us to work through and we were allowed and enabled to establish an Orphan Home in the Girardo Neighborhood of Port au Prince, Haiti. We currently care for twenty five true orphans from the streets and alleyways of this blighted area.

The ministries in Africa have continued and we have added children to our care in Monrovia and come beside the work of Pastor Zoku in Gantha, Liberia with many children in his care. (I hope to visit these ministries in February of this year, as the Lord allows. I also hope to visit Pasto Kimawachi in Nairobi on this trip and see for myself the work in Kibara Slum and Kitale that we support.)

Praise God for you dear brethren and for your Churches that He has moved to pray and financially enable us to go to these fields and to feed, clothe, provide medical care and educate some of the neediest children. We were even enabled by the folks at a family camp to provide bicycles to eighteen of our church planting pastors in India.

During the past year we have been tempted to concentrate solely on the work of compassion and missions in other nations. These endeavors have taken a larger and larger share of our time and prayers. We thank God that He has allowed us to participate in His care for His friends around the world and for the work of reaching the lost with the Good News of Jesus Christ. We are so privileged to have a little part in these great works of God.
But we know that our primary task and commission is to the Church of Jesus Christ in North America. We cannot give first place to anything else. His Church is our field and the proclamation of His Word to her our stewardship. All other ministry is an outgrowth of the proclamation of the Word to the Church for her edification, equipping and strengthening. This last year has been a joy and great blessing to us as we ministered in many churches and have seen the ministries of Tom Meyer and Kenny Bortz expand among the churches, multiplying the sowing of the good seed of the Word among His people.

Truly the Lord has blessed us.
