What a wonderful God we serve! He has enabled us to see His handiwork in creation and in the lives of people. He allows us the privilege of serving Him in the labors for His Kingdom and, sometimes, to see fruit from our labors.
We have over a hundred children in My Father's House India. They are growing both physically and in the joy of the Lord. We have a young man by the name of Joshua who oversees the children's spiritual development and He is doing a wonderful job. Our desire is to raise up Godly children who we can disciple and send into adulthood as productive powerful 'leavin of righteousness' in the Indian culture.
Please pray for our children...
We had taken in three little girls over a year ago. When I visited in 2007 they were some of the most joyous and precocious children; in every photograph and joyful helpers. Their mother had died and their dad was the village drunkard. He would send them to the streets to beg their food after he had drunk up all the family's money. The girls were so hoppy to be at My Father's House and they were so sweet.
During the year between visits their father came and took them out the home. He moved to another village where he was not known and where he could live the way he wanted. The girls were forced back to the streets to beg for his drinking money and any scraps they could get to eat. Our people began searching for them. We (Sharon and I) noticed they weren't in any photos and we commented on they're absence adding impetus to the search. We were informed of the situation and began to pray. God directed our folks and they discovered the whereabouts of the girls and their father. The Manager of My Father's House, Reuben, went and spoke to the Elders of the village and informed them of this man's corrupt treatment of his daughters, and that they had a place to go where they could live free from fear and hunger and be educated. The Elders miraculously came to the girl's aid and forced their dad to return them to our care. Praise God! They are now safe and beginning again the feel at home.
They seem, to me, to be a little hardened by the experience. Please lift them, and the children of India up to the Lord for His healing and softening and joy filling.
We also now have photos of the van that some wonderful brethren provided. Our children no longer have to go to medical care on the back of a motorcycle. We and they are very grateful to God and to His servants for their generosity.
The Pastors report exciting and abundant response, to the Gospel, during the Christmas season. And this in the midst of much attempted disruption and persecution by Hindu activists. God is building His Church in India and the gates of hell will not prevail against it.
Please continue to lift up our staff and children at My Father's House India, the Pastors and their families, and the Gorrepally's.
